Menu Plan Monday

It's another menu plan...
and thankfully, that's what it is - a plan - not a law... because we'd be guilty of breaking it BIG TIME last week!
Anyway, here's our plan for this week. Baseball practice begins this week, so I'll be the queen of super-fast meals.
Sunday~ Rotisserie chicken that I picked up in the grocery store, twice baked potatoes (from the freezer), caesar salad
Monday~ Pasta fagioli soup (leftovers from a couple of weeks ago that I froze)
Tuesday~ Open-faced roast beef sandwiches (made with last week's roast!)
Wednesday~ Turkey tenderloin, rice, steamed broccoli, crescent rolls
Thursday~ Meatballs in the crockpot over spaghetti
Friday~ BBQ chicken sandwiches (made with leftover rotisserie chicken) or out to eat after ball practice
Saturday~ Dad's choice on the grill!

Menu Plan Monday

The week's plan was essentially followed... I never made Friday's roast so that will move to this week. For V Day, I got some pretty steaks and we had those on the grill, with salads and baked potatoes. Hubby roasted some marshmallows on the still-hot grill and we made s'mores... yum! For this week:

Sunday~ my version of pasta carbonara and stuffed mushrooms (stuffed with spinach, cheese, and panko bread crumbs... they turned out yummy!)

Monday~ red beans and rice

Tuesday~ chicken tacos or quesadillas

Wednesday~ last week's roast in the crock pot

Thursday~ Teacher of the Year banquet. Pizza for ds#3 and babysitter.

Friday~TBA

Saturday~ our first ball practice of the year... burgers & dogs on the grill in honor of the season starting.

Menu Monday!

Well, some things on our menu worked beautifully last week. And others had to be amended as the week unfolded. Life is like that... it just happens! This week, my poor hubby is not feeling well, so that means the menu usually changes to suit his cravings. But I still have a plan, and a goal to follow it!

Sunday~ my sweet nephew's 2nd birthday party. My job is baked beans.
Monday~ Pasta fagioli... a great comfort soup.
Tuesday~ BBQ chicken (with barbeque sauce - not grilled), twice baked potatoes from the freezer, tossed salad (yes, I know this is more of a warm-weather meal, but it has been in the 70s here!!!)
Wednesday~ Breakfast for dinner. Always a winner in this house.
Thursday~ out to eat with the fam for my mom's birthday
Friday~ CP roast, rice and gravy, steamed broccoli (temps are supposed to drop again)
Saturday~ Happy Heart Day!!! Hubby & I will discuss the options here... I have to sing at a friend's wedding this afternoon.... we'll probably do something on the grill at home rather than fight crowds to go out.

It's February... and Menu Plan Monday!

I love the new banner for MPM. If you need inspiration besides the great graphic, you should stop by Laura's... you'll get ideas galore!

This week, as I began to think about our menu, I was seriously not motivated. I even complained to my husband about needing to make a menu. "Why do you need a menu?" he asked. Silly boy.... because inspiration for a fabulous (or even tolerable) dinner does not strike at 5:00.

So... here's the plan.
Sunday~ Superbowl snacks. I made sausage balls purely because I love my husband (I hate sausage).
Monday~ Soup and sandwiches. Hubby has class, and it is supposed to be rainy and cold.
Tuesday~ Chicken parm in the crock pot. I've got a rehearsal at 6pm, so this will solve my menu woes.
Wednesday~ beef & gravy in the crock, along with mashed potatoes (cauliflower sneaked in) and broccoli.
Thursday~ one of our faves: Breakfast for dinner.
Friday~ TBA. I have a women's meeting I'd like to go to, and if I go, hubby & ds#3 will probably go out to eat.
Saturday~ another rehearsal - I think I'll pick up pizza on my way home.
