here's what has happened around our house:
*Four end-of-the-year concerts complete with choreography and refreshments for the audience
*Hubby's birthday
*Mother's Day
*Out-of-town conference
*Tons of testing
*Memorial Day Concert
*Lunch with ds#1's new MIL
And still to come:
*Ds#3's awards ceremony
*8th grade promotion ceremony
*Last day for students
And it never ends.
In other news, our garden is coming along beautifully!
A baby squash! Or zucchini... we're not sure. The labels got mixed up and it was labeled "JalapeƱo". We *know* that one is wrong.
The first bell pepper of the year
The tomatoes are blossoming!
Oh the blueberries. Yum.
Every year, my grandmother gives us an Easter Lily. My husband somehow managed to keep these plants alive over our most bizarre winter ever - and we've got 13 buds! Can't wait to see them all open.
We've got to eat this week, so here's the plan.
Sunday~  sandwiches for lunch, leftover spaghetti for dinner
Monday~ cookout with the fam: grilled burgers, hot dogs, chicken, sausage, along with potato salad, baked beans, deviled eggs, brownies, watermelon, and peanut butter cookies.  I think we'll have enough.
Tuesday~ Back at work.  I think we'll have Caesar Salads.
Wednesday~ I have a hair appointment.  IF  the guys wait on me, I'll make pancakes for dinner.  If not, it'll be every man for himself.
Thursday~ the last full day of the school year... I think we'll go out to eat.
Friday~ WOO HOO!!!!!!  Half-day for the kiddos, and school's out for the summer!  We'll do something super easy like pizza.
Saturday~ something on the grill.  Oh, hello, Summer.

I think May is busier than December! My boys last day of school was last week and it is so nice to have a bit of a slower week finally. I love to keep my menu plans simple during summer.
