It's another Monday! We actually followed last week's menu very well, which is surprising because when baseball season hits, all bets are off when it comes to planning! It was also an extremely busy and stressful week, which may be, oddly enough, the reason the menu worked so well (I didn't have time or energy to change my mind!!) For this week: Sun~ Mexican! Soft tacos - choice of chicken or beef, refried beans, and all the trimmings. I made this layered bean dip for snacking while I got everything else ready. Mon~5:30 baseball game. Sandwiches and chips. Tues~practice if it doesn't rain. Marinated flank steak, tossed salad, baked potatoes, and breaded mushrooms. Wed~ free night and family fave. Breakfast for dinner: cinnamon rolls, eggs, bacon, grits, sliced strawberries. Thurs~5:30 game, if no rain. Beef tips & gravy waiting in the crock pot, served over egg noodles. Fri~another game, 7 pm. Spaghetti & meatballs, bread w/Italian dipping spices. Sat~ wedding to attend at 3:30 p.m. TBA. Share your menu creations at Laura's!
Last week's menu really went off pretty well... and I think that having ds#3 help me plan was part of the key to success. So I asked for his help again this week, and he had no ideas. Must be in the air. :) However, I plowed ahead, and here is our plan.
Sunday~ burgers on the grill, baked beans, chips Monday~ (baseball practice @ 5, but it's supposed to rain, so we'll see) Sticky Chicken, rice, tossed salad, biscuits Tuesday~ (game @ 7) Chili in the crockpot, and macaroni... in my house, chili = chili mac Wednesday~ Breakfast for dinner: a family fave Thursday~ (practice @ 5) Ravioli & meatballs w/pasta sauce Friday~ (Choral district festival for Mom, and possible practice for boys) Order pizza or out to eat Saturday~ TBA

Well, I never posted last week, and we didn't really have a plan... ugh. Baseball has begun, and that makes life SO much more hectic. So I am always searching for very fast meals that make everyone happy. If you have one, please share!
This week, we do have a plan - son #3 & I worked on it Sunday, so here is the fruit of our labor. Sunday~ spaghetti & meatballs Monday~ Breakfast for Dinner: bacon, eggs, tater tots, grits Tuesday~ Soup & Sandwiches Wednesday~ Tacos Thursday~ Chicken, tossed salad, baked potatoes Friday~ out to eat or pizza Saturday~ Opening Day at the ball park, so we'll be eating all kind of junk food there!
