Thankful Thursday

Today, I am thankful for my garden. I am thankful for my husband, who works so hard to keep it weeded and fruitful. Truth be told, he does most of the work. I do the easy part - collecting the goodies!
This is a planter box that he built. It held a plethora of cucumber vines, along with these eggplant. The cucumbers were overrun by weeds. No kidding - it was hard to get close to the box because the weeds - which were very itchy - were sticking out about a foot past the borders. Today, he cleaned every bit of it out, and planted new cuke seeds (which I feel sure will grow just fine, as our old cucumber vines had begun to flower again).

I am thankful for things that grow, for people and for gardens. :)

OOOHHHH I want a planter box like that for my garden next year. We only have about 5 tomato plants but are hoping for a few for the table. Thanks for sharing that picture.

Angela,

Great TT list, as well as photo. Gardening is hard work, but can be very rewarding!

Have a blessed TT and a safe 4th of July.

Oh, a garden. I have never had a garden. I have been too intimidated to have one. I don't know where to start. So, good for you.

I miss gardening. I haven't done much of that lately. Your husband sounds like a wonderful man. :-)

How neat! Our cukes are not doing so well....they got too much rain, but am sure they will come back.

Great TT!

Wonderful! My mum grew almost all the veggies we ate...it was lovely.

Thanks for this, God bless.

Gardens are so beautiful. I've never had a green thumb so I am just a spectator rather than an active participant. Good luck on your garden.

I have planter boxes as well and feel your gratitude today since I spent the morning weeding my boxes as well. The weeds take over so fast but the fruit of the harvest is definitely worth it! I can't wait to have fresh corn, tomatoes, squash, etc.

Oh - your own veggies - that is cool. They taste so much better than what we can get in the store. Glad that your beloved is helping you to keep it weed-free :)

Thank you so much for sharing your grateful heart with us.

Be blessed today and always.
